Recycling is often considered something new and is often
linked to the environmental movement of the 1970's.
In fact, recycling has been around for a long time - back to
the beginning of time. Early man used every part of an
animal he killed. Metal tools and weapons were melted
down and re-used. Clothing was given down to younger
members or to servants.
