Recycling Guidelines
Help us keep the recycling stream clean and efficient by following these simple rules:
Items You CAN Recycle:
♻️ Metal

- Tin, metal food and beverage cans
- Aluminum cans
- Aluminum foil and pie pans
(All items must be empty of contents)
♻️ Paper
-
- Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, catalogs
- Construction paper and paper bags
- Shredded paper (place in a clear plastic bag)
♻️ Paperboard & Boxboard

- Cereal boxes, cracker boxes, soda cartons, shoe boxes, and paper towel tubes
(No wax liners. Must be clean, empty, and broken down flat)

♻️ Cardboard

- Corrugated cardboard boxes
(Must be clean, empty, and flattened)
- Corrugated cardboard boxes
♻️ Plastics

- #1 and #2 plastics (PET & HDPE), such as:
- Water and soda bottles
- Milk jugs
- Laundry detergent containers
(Remove all lids and empty contents)

Items That CANNOT Be Recycled:
These items must go in the regular trash:

- Food waste

- Diapers

- Plastic wrap or wax-coated paper

- Styrofoam or packing peanuts

- Plastic deli bags or takeout containers

- Window glass, mirrors, ceramics, or dishware

- Light bulbs or fluorescent tubes

- Tupperware or Rubbermaid-style containers

- Wax-coated cardboard or paperboard

- Dog waste or kitty litter
Recycling Instructions:

Place cardboard and paperboard/boxboard directly into the recycling dumpster (flatten all boxes)

Place all other approved materials in a clear plastic bag

Make sure everything is clean and empty before recycling.

If you’re dropping off your recyclables at the recycling plant, please dispose of them in one of the dumpsters located at the plant.
